Make Your Door Auto Close Door with Smart Door Hinge (2020)
In this video, I will show you how to replace your basic hinge and install a smart hinge that will auto close or open your door depending on your needs. This smart hinge has a spring on the inside of the hinge so when the door is moved it’s under tension allowing the door to shut or open depending on the direction you tension the spring.
I installed one of these on all of our exterior doors so that when we go in and out the door with shut behind us maximizing energy savings. This also makes bringing in the groceries and not letting the dogs out very convenient. The hinges are a little larger than a standard hinge but still look good once installed.
