Description
The NodOn Octan Remote can directly control many of Z-Wave or Z-Wave Plus compliant devices or trigger scenes through a Z-Wave or Z-Wave Plus Home Automation Gateway (Gateway Mode).
The Octan Remote is magnetic and can be fixed on any kind of metallic surface but it also comes with a wall mounting plate which can be easily installed on a wall or any other clean surface.
DIRECT CONTROL OR WITH A HOME AUTOMATION GATEWAY
If you hesitate to invest in a home automation gateway, NodOn Octan Remote can control directly (as the Primary Controller) all the compatible Z-Wave devices of your home. It doesn’t come with home automation software (to access the system from a mobile device) so this application is right for basic networks with on/off devices and light switches only.
Later, you will be able to integrate your remote control in a home automation gateway in order to upgrade your installation.
