The SmartThings Home Monitor does a great job getting all of your security devices into one place and making a great self-monitored alarm system but the SmartThings Home Monitor has its limitations.

I have seen many people complain about the leak sensors shutting off the water when any sensor gets wet. We will be creating two SharpTools Rules that will add more flexibility to water leak detection and management.

One will be when we are home so if someone triggers a sensor by mopping or by accident we will have 5 minutes to dry the sensor before the water turns off. The second will be for when we are away or sleeping and in that case, we will want the water to shut off instantly until we either wake up or get home to investigate the leak.
